The Lexicalization Research Of"Negative Morpheme+x" Adverb

As an important phenomenon of linguistic change, lexicalization has become a focus in the linguisticcommunity in recent years. As for lexicalization, we adopt a broad definition, put forward by DongXiufang from diachronic perspective,which means a process of turning non-word units into words. Thisthesis takes "negative morpheme+X" adverb as the object of study, such as "weiceng, bumian, wugu, wufei,mofei" in Chinese respective and predicate components, refers to the structure combined by negativemorpheme e.g."bu, wu, fei, wei, mo" in Chinese respective and predicate. Their internal componentsbonded and evolved into words in the long process of language development.The lexicalization of "negative morpheme+X" adverb was intensively studied, through the way fromthe outside to the inside and from phenomena to essence, and combining phenomenal description andtheoretical analysis.The first chapter is introduction, which includes correlational research status, the purpose andsignificance of the research, the scope and contents of the research, research method and linguistic data.The second chapter is the diachronic examination of lexicalization. First of all, we classified thelexicalization of "negative morpheme+X" adverb. Then, we selected some representative words from eachcategory, made an actual and detailed description of these language facts through a large number of corpusexamples and made a diachronic description on the specific process of lexicalization.The third chapter is analyzing their lexicalization cause, and influencing factors by grammar, speech,cognitive and pragmatic theory.At last, based on those descriptions, we made a further analysis and exploration on the linguisticphenomenon, including summarizing the characteristics and laws of the lexicalization and so on. We find that as the result of interaction of many factors, the cause of language changes occurring inthe diachronic field is complex. It is the very kind of interaction that triggers a serious of chain reactionsand causes adjustments and changes within the language system and formation of new linguisticphenomenon over time.
