Based on the ((Alfred’ s Basic Piano Library)) and ((The Bastien Piano Library)) two primary teaching piano studies, summarized the characteristics of these two sets of textbooks and instructional purposes, and to explore the idea of American music education and piano teaching materials for primary teaching theory preparation of impact. The paper first describes the relevant piano teaching philosophy, and the U.S. junior piano teaching materials development. In this paper, after 《Alfred’s Basic Piano Library》 and 《The Bastien Piano Library》for specific analysis. Through this study the author attempts to understand the characteristics of teaching arrangements, as well as textbook writers design considerations when teaching. As American social and cultural background of these two sets of elementary piano teaching materials have a greater impact, so the author has also made some analysis, and proposes the application of these two sets of textbooks recommendations.By studying the following conclusions:First, the《Alfred’s Basic Piano Library》 and 《The Bastien Piano Library》 two music textbook knowledge, learning and playing skills comprehensive learning content; Second, the arrangement of teaching process two sets of textbooks are used spiral curriculum teaching content; Third, two sets of textbooks covering diverse musical styles of tracks; fourth, textbook writers, and physical development of the child’s psychological characteristics, using the method of preparation of the corresponding.
