On the basis of research on the educational psychology for many years,going through the innovation and practice for twenty years, the American pianist and music educator Randall Faber and his wife Nancy Faber pushed out the Piano Adventures which was published by People's Music Publishing House in 2012. At present, in the domestic, the introduced edition has published five classes, of which each class is divided into two volumes, respectively the Course & Music Theory and Skill &Performance. This series of textbook has the varied track styles and moderate content arrangement schedule, adopts the situational teaching approach, abstract the skill learning, and even creatively adds the musical form analysis, learning, improvisation and other skill training links. Professor Faber couples also added the pentatonic mode in the track according to the Chinese traditional music styles and features. This series of textbook takes the teaching concept of "music from heart, and music from happiness" as the core, sparkplugs the way of playing the piano by art, aims at building the interest and confidence for the students to learn the music to the greatest extent, sufficiently arouses their spontaneity and creativity to throw themselves into and enjoy the beauty of music, guides the teachers to develop the students' emotional and intelligence quotients, and enables the music to become the link between the students and teachers. In the practice and experience process to this textbook in the recent years, I deeply feel its practicability and enjoyment which is quite different from the traditional textbooks, from which the latest music teaching approach not only can be absorbed, but also can be applied into the practical teaching, to really realize the teaching through lively activities. The writer hopes that, the research on this textbook enables the Chinese piano educators to salute and learn the development and inheritance of the American piano educators to the national music more than use the good teaching way in the textbook for reference for reference, to facilitate the development of Chinese piano education nationalization career.This paper comprises four parts:First part: Preface. The main content includes the source, topic basis, background introduction, research purpose, theoretical significance and practical value of research topic.Second part: Summary of Piano Adventures. Include this series textbook compilation background, centered education concept and analysis of textbook feature.Third part: Practice of Piano Adventures in the teaching. Firstly introduce the textbook schedule arrangement and suggestion on class form, and then make research successively on the teaching examples of individual and group lessons.Fourth part: Enlightenment of to the Chinese piano education. The education includes the American piano education concept embodied from this textbook, the reference and innovation of Chinese newly-published Chinese Style Piano Course to the Piano Adventures and future direction of Chinese piano education nationalization road.
