Different traditional cultural and social history of the development will produce differentaesthetic consciousness; the same kind of art in different cultural backgrounds will formdifferent artistic characteristics. As a kind of art, cappella in the influence of both Chinese andWestern history and culture, aesthetic consciousness will produce a lot of different. There willbe having the diversity of the aesthetic consciousness in the cappella compositions of Chineseand Western. Author put it as a starting point, discussing the diversity of the aestheticconsciousness between the Chinese and Western cappella from four concepts.Historical origins: Western cappella derived very early,Multiply so far has formed amature art form. On the other hand, Chinese cappella comes from music culture shock ofthe aggression of Western in the1840s. Its birth comes from youth who have full of patrioticfeelings and the request of western advanced compose,to develop the choric art of Chinesecharacteristics.Mode and harmony: Western music focus on skills,emphasizing the themes and motives.China music focuses on emotions, emphasizing the mood and flavor of oneself. Theperformance as an experience, a feeling, or comprehend. So Correspondingly, the aesthetic ofWestern cappella is static, clear and fixed,strong formal logic;the aesthetic of Chinesecappella is dynamic, blurry and variable,strong implied impressionistic.Style and subject matter: Various styles reflect the multiplex manner of composing, ismusical aesthetics of skills. Various subject matters reflect the multiplex of culture, is musicalaesthetics of emotion.The concept of harmony: Western cappella emphasize harmony in the opposition, evencreative dissonant factors to pursue aesthetic effect of harmony. But because of the concordantof pentatonic of Chinese cappella, most compositions are harmonies.Conclusion: Chinese cappella contains traditional culture of China, Western cappellacontains religious culture. Different culture breeds different aesthetic,different musicalaesthetics created different styles, different form of cappella music.
