Study On The Usage Of Northeast Dialect Idiom

Idiom is a kind of phraseologismen, its characteristic is that the structure is relativelysolid, the semantic express double meanings and the style is colloquial. Idioms show theample relationship between language and thinking, the ample relationship between languageand culture. Different dialects’ idioms reflect the living differences of people’s life experiencein different regions.Northeast dialectal idioms show the northeast people living on the blackland, having aoptimistic attitude towards life, which are full of northeast people’s philosophy of life.However, as Chinese government vigorously promoting mandarin, northeast dialect has beenimpacted. At the same time, the situation of people using northeast dialectal idioms has alsochanged, which in different social groups shows different degrees of the difference.This paper adopts the research method of social linguistics, makes social surveysconducted in Jilin city of Jilin province. based on the northeast dialect idiomatic usage andlanguage attitude of the region as the research object, analyzes their differences in differentsocial groups, describes the differences of northeast dialect idioms used in Jilin city, exploresthe causes of the differences and forecasts the development trend of the northeast dialectalidioms.The paper gets the following conclusion through the survey of135participants in Jilincity:In northeast dialect, idiomatic usage of this area presents a significant gender differences,generational differences, urban and rural differences and education degree.In terms of the awareness of northeast dialect idioms, the gender differences andeducation degree are not remarkable, the generational difference and the difference betweenurban and rural areas are remarkable.In language attitude survey, most of Jilin northeast people’s subjective evaluationtowards mandarin is higher, compared with the subjective evaluation towards northeastdialect, their behavior tend to speak mandarin. But most people don’t think that the northeastdialect will be replaced by mandarin.There are many reasons for the differences in the usage of the northeast dialect, the mainfactor of generational difference and urban-rural difference is the awareness of northeast dialect idioms, language attitude has an important influence on the gender differences andeducation degree.Northeast dialect idioms have three development directions, parts of the northeast dialectidioms integrate into mandarin, parts of the northeast dialect idioms will disappear and partsof the northeast dialect idioms will remain in the northeast region dialect.
