Henan is located in the Central Plains of China, giving birth to the Chinesecivilization, and is the cradle of Chinese nations. Five thousand years of civilizationhas left a wide variety of cultural heritage to us, while the temple fair culture is one ofthem. The Temple Fair includes sightseeing, leisure and entertainment, shopping andcatering, with distinctive traditional national characteristics. First of all, the templefair provides a concentrated display platform for the folk culture: it is here that thetraditional folk goods get together; it is here that all kinds of folk activities areawakening; also it is here that traditional foods get together again into people’s eyes.Secondly, both ancient temple worship and the social reality is reflected to certaindegree, which is an important research aspect in the life of civil society.Nandun Temple Fair has lasted for thousands of years, which should not beunderestimated among the temple fairs in the Central Plains. Taking the NandunTemple Fair in Ancient town as the research object, the author tried to obtain throughfield investigation, literature retrieval methods sufficient data. Through exploring thedevelopment of Nandun Ancient town Temple Fair, the origin of customs, the heritageand development in the historical changes in the process of research, and a descriptionof the Ancient town temple fair to the development of specific conditions now, theauthor tried to study the connotation of temple fair culture, exploring the charming ofNanton Ancient town Temple Fair. Through the investigation on the Nandun Ancienttown Temple Fair and its inheritance and protection, the author summarizes thecharacteristics of Nandun Ancient town Temple Fair and the difficulties faced in theinheritance and development. Combined with the specific local conditions, the authoroffered from several aspects of the specific development proposals and measures.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part is the introduction, a brief description of the purpose andsignificance of the study of Nandun Ancient town Temple Fair. The author organizesthe relevant literature review, and determines the research methods, which namely arefield survey method, literature analysis and comparative research method.The second part mainly introduces the Nandun Ancient town and its Temple Fair,the relevant overview of its origin, and the background of the development.The third part analyses the current situation of the temple fair in Ancient town,and explores the main folk activities, such as the sound of the Gong temple, Huinationality yangko dance, acrobatics, the traditional folk craft mud dog, cloth tiger,Ruyang Liu Maobi. These cultural heritages have profound historical and culturalaccumulation and a relatively complete system.The fourth part analyses the dilemma which the Temple Fair culture is facing,and the author put forward specific solving measures and suggestions.
