Task-based teaching mode aims at learners achieving self-acquirementthroughfinishing relevant tasks, which displays what exactly teaching Chinesehasencouraged, that is, focusing on learners themselves and their communicativeability.Text books are the foundation of achieving teaching aim, which is required tobewritten in an innovative way according to teaching guidance. Textbooks writtenbasedon tasks has become significant and is the important direction of developmentofteaching mode.This thesis makes a further analysis based on Experience SpokenChinese (primarylevel) and discusses how task-basedmethodology is applied in the textbook. Also, itmakes investigation about thelearners’s requirement and how satisfied the users feel,in order to find theadvantages and disadvantages and gives suggestion aboutcompilation of textbooks.Chapter1is preface, introduces the topic of the theses, the research at homeandabroad and themethodology adopted in the thesis. It talks about the development oftask basedteaching mode in China.Chapter2introduces the theories in detail, and analyzes the charactersoftask-based mode and its influence on the compilation of textbook, which providestheoretical base for the thesis.Chapter3makes further analysis of how Experience Spoken Chinese isorganized.First, it introduces thetextbook, and then analyses the cases, content of textbook andhow itconstitutes and is organized, which shows it is written according to task-basedmode.Chapter4refers to task design and arrangement of Experience SpokenChinese(primary level) in detail, respectively. The design of the textbook is writtenincorrespondence with task-based mode theory, in aninteresting, true, various andcoherent way. Moreover, the mode how the tasksare arranged is discrete and coherent,in accordance with the sequence of “inputtask-output task-drills”.Chapter5thinks about the demerits of the textbook through surveysandinvestigation, and then offers suggestion about the compilation of textbookbased on task mode.
