Gorka Hermosa(1976-)is a very talented and multifacetedcontemporary musician in Spain: accordion player, composer, teacher, writer ofmusical themes, publisher…Gernika and Fragilissimo which he composed for freebass accordion are the most famous and representatives works in accordion world. Alot of European contestants use these pieces as their repertoire in competition andconcert. He refreshes the old accordion world. Nowadays, there is no doubt thatGorka and his original accordion works are so important and meaningful to ouraccordion.Confronted with the fact that there is no study on Gorka, in and out ofChina.The author try to get the latest works, the teaching concept, the concerts etc.related to Gorka by Skype interview and email with the composer himself. On theother hand, gathering the album, concert video, scores and comment of Gorka willhelp me to know him well on his three characters: concert soloist, composer andaccordion teacher. This paper aims to fill one gap in the studies of Spaishcontemporary accordion artists.The paper will be organized in four chapters. After sketching the reasonof this study, the first part will show the biographical chronology of Gorka in threeways: accordion player, composer and accordion teacher. The third chapter is themain part of this paper. The author will focus on the chamber music of Goka, andmake a division according to the music style. The Neotango concerto Op.8andAnantango, the representatives piece will be analysed. The final part will summarizeall the super aspects of Goka.
