The synonyms in Chinese are very rich, properly using them when you talking or writing will make your conversations and essays more colorful. To those people whose mother language is Chinese, choosing proper synonyms to express their emotions is a very easy thing, but to those which Chinese is their second language, mistakes and jokes are often be made by using them inappropriate. Why this would happen, that is Chinese learners are not quite know that there are small differences between synonyms and it is totally irreplaceable when you using them. Although it is OK to express your idea sometimes, but in some specific circumstances differences occur. It is a hard thing for Chinese learners even though teachers teaching Chinese will often be embarrassed to clearly show the differences between some synonyms. So it is very significant to make them understanding from the point of Chinese as a foreign language.The words in this thesis are based on<Chinese Proficiency Vocabulary Guideline and Chinese Characters Grade Guideline>(in short of HSK Guideline) selecting synonyms and faunally choosing adverb to be the research subject, analyzing and tabulating. There are three hundred and thirty four adverbs in HSK, including eight monosyllabic adverbs, two hundred and fifty eight double syllable adverbs and three syllable adverbs totally. There are two hundred and thirteen adverbs are synonyms, I choose twenty pairs of them to analyze in this thesis. The rules of choosing these words are that they are both adverbs, more frequently be used in daily communication and also a high rate of incorrectly using in HSK. In this thesis, discriminating these two words from their meanings, using ways and colloquial style, this discrimination is from the most obvious aspect and testify it from examples. Examples in this thesis are all from online corporeal (www.cncorpus.org) This thesis can be used as an adverb helping material to Chinese teachers and Chinese learners. This thesis is divided into three parts, the first part introduce the significance of choosing this article, the definitions of different scholars, the define of synonyms and views of discrimination methods of synonyms, also introduce some relative knowledge of adverbs, discuss some questions of the synonyms on this basic. In the first part conditions of synonymous adverbs in HSK also are explained. Key point of the second part is on analyzing, giving those choosing words a very specific discrimination; tell exactly which adverbs should be choose in different language environment. Summarizing comes to the third part, to summarizing the discrimination view of synonymous and methods of it.This thesis is based on summarizing and absorbing other’s views and methods, giving synonymous adverbs discriminate a much more excellent ways and examples, provided much more reference materials to teachers on teaching Chinese. For those who learning Chinese as their second language, this thesis provided a very good teaching example, teaching them how to properly use the right Chinese adverbs to express their ideas on specific language environment.
