In Chinese history,drinking vessel was not only a vessel used for fill the wine. In the feudal society, it was used as a "sacrificial vessel" to show the respectful status and the grade. The Wei Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties, the transition from the Qin Dynasty and the Sui Dynasty, which is also called "the internal between Han and Tang Dynasty". During this time, the Qin broke into the chaos caused by the war for as long as300years. The north minorities migrated to the middle from the Han Dynasty. They established many minority political powers in the end of the Western Jin Dynasty. Some powerful peoples migrated to the central plains gradually which led to the exchange of culture and the style of the vessels in this time changed actively. So there were amounts of valuable drinking vessels discovered. In term s of the vessels discovered so far, most of the drinking vessels in the Wei Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties are porcelain vessels. The main styles of the vessels are pot, vessel, cup, and bowl; such as the Chicken pot、Lotus flowers、Flat pot. All of them reflect the local features. In the Northern Dynasty, the power was in the Han peoples. The skill and art in the south are better than that in the north, so the porcelain in the north was influenced greatly by the south.This paper describes the main three kinds of drinking vessels in the Northern Dynasty, which includes Chicken po、Flat pot and Lotus flowers in three chapters.The first chapter is the instruction. It tells the goal and significance of this paper. Then it describes the situation in and abroad.The second chapter is the main part which includes four sub-items. The first item is about the excavation of the drinking vessels. The second item is the discussion about the development of the drinking vessels. The third item analyzes the causes of the drinking vessels. The fourth item mainly talks about the figures. The third chapter is the inclusion.
