| In learning of music since childhood, I always have a special favor to Mozart’s works. The greatest musician of the18th century left so many classic masterpieces to the later generations in his short life. He was so outstanding for the variety, quantity, and beauty of his works, which made him far more splendid than other musicians of his era. As a vocal learner, I have learned pretty more about Mozart’s achievements in the field of opera, such as "LeNozzediFigaro","Don Giovanni","MagicFlute"and"LaClemezadi Tito", but pretty less about his works of religious music. In my research, I found that Mozart composed just a few religious works, and therefore not much document literature of the research of his religious works was created, no matter in China or Western Countries, no matter now or the past eras. But that would not shelter his glory in the field of religious music works."Exsultate jubilate"(K.165) is a shining star and the real classic of his religious works. This magnificent and solemn religious vocal work is also one of the repertoire pieces for many excellent Chinese and foreign sopranos in the concert.During the research, the author collected many authoritative literature information for finishing study and many audios and videos of the performance of work for listening to and watching over and over again, and continued to sing and read, in order to achieve deeper understanding of the work theoretically and practically. In the thesis, the author gives a brief introduction of the life journey and the religious belief of the composer in the first place, and then has a thorough analysis of the work with a great length, including the introduction of the composing background, analysis of the musical structure, analysis of lyrics and the singing analysis of the work. The author wishes a deeper exploration of the achievements of religious works of Mozart, and also hopes this paper will devote certain meager strength to the research of the Mozart religious music works. |
