The Cognitive Contrast Of National Cultural Semantics Of"Yue" And MOON

The objective of this paper is the National Cultural Semantics of MOON in two different languages. The’Yue’and MOON have the same concept meaning, however, under the different background of Chinese-English cultural tradition, they extend to various National Cultural Semantics from the original meaning. By contrasting their diffrences, may not only know the cultural differences, but also will find cognitive differences and the relations between the two.This paper can divide into six chapters. The introduction part mainly introduces the research significance, research object, article research angle, and research methods, etc. The first chapter points out the existing limitations contrast difference model, on the basis of combining the achievements of cognitive linguistics, it puts forward the framework of cognitive contrast that is establishing the proverb polysemy cognitive category, thus achieve the goal of contrast of colloquial meaning of MOON. Chapter2, chapter3describes the National Cultural Semantics of’yue’and the MOON, the meanings derives from the Chinese and English corpus. The fourth chapter, the fifth chapter according to the theory of cognitive linguistics, that is metaphor and metonymy, it clarified the each cognitive category, and describes the meanings implied in process by metaphor and metonymy that are classified. The last chapter makes the conclusions by contrasting their extension mechanism, explain the cognitive the reasons behind the differences from the perspective of cultures.
