The upheaval of Eastern Europe and the disintegration of Soviet Union have eliminatedthe geopolitical vacuum. At the same time,a mysterious veil of Central Asia has also beenrevealed. A new geo-political region has been formed in the Soviet Union area, several newindependent countries have been appeared, namely Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan,Kyrgyzstan,Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. As the five Central Asian countries located in the center of theEurasian continent, they have both very important strategic position and rich naturalresources.Strategic form of Eurasian World Island has undergone dramatic changes. Themajor world powers began to strive for this “heartland” again and it has been become “a battlefield” among three major powers: China, Russia and U.S. These three countries have beenestablished their political benefits and played very important roles on Central Asia’s politics, economy, culture and military. U.S, Russia and China. are seeking their influence on areaand the whole world to enhance their leading place of this region. The September11,2001,attacks provides a golden opportunity for U.S. to penetrateCentral Asia. U.S. is in place in the name of anti-terrorism and made offensive against thesecountries’ economy, politics, culture and military. Another aim to launch the war on terrorfor U.S. is to prevent and contain China and Russia. The nature of this act is to suppressChina and Russia’s strategic space of survival, control global military power and threatenSino-Russian alliance areas and countries from the east and west. Due to the outbreak of thewar in Afghanistan and new deployment of American military base in Central Asia, Russianwill have been tried to maintain her influence and revive her great power status in the regionto keep security and stability. Central Asia as a western natural barrier and energy channels isalso of great strategic significance to China. It is not only about China’s new economicstrategy implementation, but also about China’s lasting peace and stability. At present, Central Asia’s strategic pattern is maintaining a delicate balance. Threenations have there own complex interests here, so expansion of any party forces will causeother parties instability.
