The Ethnic Problems In Kyrgyzstan And Central Asia Geopolitics

With the soviet's disintegration, Kyrgyzstan gained their independence. In the course of building nation-state, the ethnic relation in Kyrgyzstan has become very complicated with historical and realistic factor. It is difficult to solve the ethnic problems for government of Kyrgyzstan. The ethnic problems not only influenced the stability of Kyrgyzstan, but also threatened:the region and the world's peace and stability.The develOpment of Kyrgyzstan's ethnic problems has a close relationship with it's special historical background and geographical environment, which play certainly negative influence to the Central Asia region security situation. After the 911 terror attacks and Afghan war, the situation of Central Asia became more complex. In March of 2005, the "Tulip Revolution" erupted in Kyrgyzstan, made ethnic contradictory deeper. Therefore; it is necessary for us to study both Kyrgyzstan's ethnic relations and the relationship with Central Asia geopolitics more systematically.The paper consists three parts: the foreword, text and conclusionThe part of foreword mainly introduced the performance of Kyrgyzstan ethnic problem as well as its significance, correlated achievements and research technique and theory utilized in this paper.The part of text composed by three parts .The first part mainly deals with the origin of Kyrgyzstan's multi-ethnic group and mainly performance of its ethnic problems. Kyrgyzstan now has 89 ethnic groups, which is the result of nationality migration and assimilation since long ago. The types of ethnic group increased along with the complexity of ethnic structure and ethnic relations also changes correspondingly. The Kyrgyzstan ethnic problems mainly consists two parts: transnational nationality problems (including Russian problem, Uzbek problem, Dong Gan problem) and tribalism and sectionalism.The second part mainly deals with the origin of ethnic problems in Kyrgyzstan. First, the historical reason, which includes nation-states boundary delimitation in soviet period, mistakes in dealing with ethnic problems, highly centralized politic and economic system. Second, practical reasons, which includes three points: the unreasonable point in ethnic and religion policy after independent, unbalance of local economy, the rejuvenation of Islam.The third part of this paper mainly discusses the interrelationship between ethnic problems in Kyrgyzstan and geopolitical environment in Central Asia.The last part mainly summarized the performance, origin of Kyrgyzstan ethnic problem and its relation with Central Asia geopolitical environment.Ethnic problems in Kyrgyzstan have a complicate background with great influence. New problems comes along with de development of society, the problems appears in Kyrgyzstan worth people to think deeply.
