In the human art hall, there have been many wonderful unique works of art in every period, which causes so much stimulation of human visual neural and infection of the human mind by different means and images. So is mural painting. No matter how different the excellent murals expressed at the form of art language in all times and in all countries, they still got the alikeness at the reflection of material culture and the response of the age spirit.Based on the previous studies, art attributes and assignment of mural is explored in this paper. According to the close relationship between mural art and the folk culture, the paper pointed out the importance of the folk custom placing into contemporary mural in the new period with public aesthetic demand, and the dependency of mural paintings and the folk culture. Then the significance of the building elements is discussed and nationalization building elements are analyzed by taking the ancient buildings on Pingnan area as examples, and the paper explores the signification of the architectural elements in mural national influence which embody special area art characteristic and connotation in mural creation. At the same time, the function and feature in the murals of the architectural elements is elaborated. And the expression of national architectural elements into the mural forms come from three respects, which are the forms of expression, material selection and conception of structural. So the Chinese contemporary mural national style and temperament is manifested, which is the key to creation.Based on the new idea of the combine of architectural elements and mural art, this article attempts to create the way to build the national image in modern mural art, which will spread the aesthetic consciousness of the public murals, as well as enhance the protection of national construction and dissemination of national consciousness culture.
