The research of this thesis targets the development of traditional lacquer craft representation to modern paint drawing language art which is an art creation as a carrier represented by Wang Heju,the extender of this process. The perspective of this thesis research settles in the cognition that the Chinese modern painting derives from the traditional lacquer craft and it is a visual image layer of emerging painting type which is integrated with modern painting art. The problem awareness source in this thesis lies in that lacquer painting has become a kind of art representation form in Chinese current art circle,entering the art circles which is inseparable from the peculiar and glamourous material language of lacquer painting and its unfathomable crafts. The lacquer painting is embodied not only with national emotion,ideology and spirit but also with the time’s breath.It influences us with its unique art glamour.We find that compared with other painting types lacquer painting is still young, still immature in academic theory and creative practice, leaving many problems for us to study and solve. Traditional lacquer paintings focus on the performance of japanning,while modern lacquer paintings besides inheriting this good tradition, focus more on the perfect integration of content and form.The content of its subjects is more extensive.It is good at making use of and exploiting the beauty of materials and techniques and it stresses on the discovery and exploration property of painting craft area.Therefore Chinese modern lacquer painting is the extension of Chinese traditional painting craft in new era, while the development of Fujian lacquer painting plays a major role therein.This paper discovers and analyses the reprentation techniques of Fujian traditional lacquer crafts and the voluntary awareness in formation of modern lacquer painting.It probes the reason why lacquer painting becomes an emergence of cultural phenomena in Fujian,which though was regarded as a national liberation frontier in1960s and not as a major cultural town.It combs the cultural superficial characteristics in Fujian province in the process of modern lacquer painting language and art development as an initial region of using Chinese painting crafts. In the system of practical art area and visual art area,it finds in Mr.Wang Heju’s art works the idea source and style formation cause about how the thinking logic produced in symbolic illustration of visual art essence and traditional painting crafts was transformed into the form and content of two-dimensional painting language art.It depicts prototype of traditional painting craft’s reprentation technique in Chinese modern lacquer painting in a manner of case analysis.It not only discusses the structural manner of visual art image in Mr Wang Heju’s modern lacquer paintings,but also enlarges the characteristics of cultural phenomena and social metaphor extended from lacquer painting area which is led initially by Fujian,the initial region of using Chinese painting art.
