Study On Features Of He Luting’s Film Songs And Singing Styles

He Luting is the most outstanding composer, educator, music critic and activist of China on early20th century. All his life, he has created more than260pieces of different music works and more than280articles:monographs, essays and reviews. His creations have wide ranges of genres and forms. The movie songs are the prominent and influential parts in his music creations. From1934to1937,as one of the founders of Chinese early film songs, he has created about thirty film songs for the progressive movies,which are diversery in genres、melodic in rhythm and distinctive in artistic individualities.This paper studies from three aspects:overviews of He Luting’s life and music creations、characteristics of He Luting’s film songs and the singing styles of He Luting’s film songs. Two works "Spring" and " Song for the Guerrillas " are the research objects. It gives a comprehensive analysis towards He Luting’s film songs by the ways of literature and interview study methods in the hopes of helping people to understand and concern about the creations and developments of early film music works and providing some theoretical references for those who give further studies on He Luting’s film songs and singing styles.
