A Comparative Study Of Qingzhu And Xiao Youmei's Artistic Songs And Singing Styles

Chinese art song was born in the early 20 th century.It has absorbed foreign creative composing techniques and combined national language,temperament and sentiments since then.A large number of excellent musicians such as Huang Zi,Xiao Youmei,Qing Zhu and Zhao Yuan Ren,were born at that time.This paper focuses on Qing Zhu and Xiao Youmei's several representative art songs to analyze and compare their creative characteristics and artistic style.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter focused on the introduction and characteristics of art songs.The second chapter demonstrates brief introduction to the two great composers,mainly on the biography and achievements.The third chapter compares and analyzes the two maestros from selection of lyrics,composing techniques and treatments to piano accompaniment.The fourth chapter summarizes the similarities and differences of the two composers' art songs in singing style on stage by specific pieces.
