Study on simulation technique of the musical instrument sound is a hot research currently. It originated in the simulation and synthesis of musical instruments sound. And includes the knowledge of computer technology, signal processing technology, mathematics. In the field of the simulation technology, Sound Synthesis Technique based on Physical Model is the research focused on currently. It is a way to describe the object vibration used the PDE function. They are different from other sound synthesis methods Presenting characteristic of body with respect to time and frequency-domain.The theory of Sound Synthesis Technique based on Physieal Model has been proposed in the70s. But it was not been valued. It wasn’t be focused until the90s.But due to the restriction of computer processing speed, they still have several imperfects in Princilpes and applieations. In the aspect of the design model and optimization to be for the next step of research.A brief overview about the simulation technology and the methods in this paper. And then use the Acoustic Systems of musical instrument as the clue to introduce the practice:1.To simulation the vibrating body.Use the Finite Element Method and the Digtal waveguide to simulation the Idiophones and the spring of the Chordophone. And do some experiment to checking the result.2. Study on the simulation technology about the resonance body of the musical instrument. It including the resonance of the plate and the coupling of the cavity. The simulation to the resonance of the plate used the Finite Element Method, and also do some experiment to checking the result. At the last, we predict the development prospect of the simulation technology.
