Viatcheslav Semionov (1946-3-29——) is a contemporary world famous accordion performer, educator, composer. He is one of the three Russian performers who have been awarded the highest honor——People’s Artist, devoting himself to motivating the development of free bass accordion. He has won almost all the championships and founded his own common studies, which nurtured well known accordion performer Yuri-Shishkin. Furthermore, his contribution to musical creation is quite distinguished. The "Sonata NO.1" is one of the most important mast pieces of work for free bayan bass accordion.I have performed the "Sonata NO.1" several times in tournaments and degree concert.. I’ve spared no effort to pay attention to study performing skills, at the meantime making analysis to understand the emotion, musical form, harmony and musical ontology of the works in order to precisely express the composer’s intention and reveal the music connotationThis thesis is divided into three parts:The first part is the introduction, which mainly brings a blueprint to the readers through illustrating the object and the significance of this thesis, together with contemporary research status from home and abroad.The second part is the body, which can be subdivided into three chapters.The first chapter demonstrates Semionov’s life, achievements and historical background to explore the conception and intention of the "Sonata NO.1".The second chapter is the analysis to the musical ontology of the "Sonata NO.1"including the characteristic of its structure, layout, harmony and rhythm.The third chapter is the analysis to the performing techniques of the "Sonata NO.1" involving right hand skills, left hand skills bellows skills and the use of tone converters.The third part is the conclusion."Sonata NO.1"is a paragon of the combination between traditional and modern compositional techniques from Semionov’s works. The distinctive image of the music and magnificent melodies highlights its profound cultural heritage and deep musical conception. Through the comprehensive analysis mentioned above, I strive to offer references and help to those who want to perfectly perform Semionov’s works.
