Analysis Of The Musical Interpretative Techniques For The Viatcheslav Semionov’s Concerto "Frescoes"

Viatcheslav Semionov, a famous Russian composer, performer and educator as well, he is one of the most great accordionists in world. Semionov was awarded by the highest Russian title called ’people’s artist of Russia’As an outstanding representative of Russian contemporary composers, Semionov has created a large number of accordion works, every piece has original and unique writing characteristic. Meanwhile was added precious wealth to the accordion music. In 2003 Semionov created the concerto for accordion and chamber orchestra called’Frescoes’. The main idea of the concerto formed according to the Bible stories and Orthodox icons which were usually made by ancient European and Russian Iconographers. I played this music in the concert and competition. Firstly when I played the concerto’Fresqoes’, I have been focused on analyzing, included interpretive and special bayan techniques. This analyzing contribute learning about the interpretive techniques for musicians and also give accurate intention of composer’s idea and emotions, as a result analysis give the best imagination about music sense. During the performance I realized how deep and colorful this concerto, how strong relatives with Christian philosophy and Russian culture.This work is consist three parts:The first part is the introduction. This part mainly introduces the purpose and significance, the choice concert’Frescoes’as the main thesis. Here is learning more about the researches’current situation and development trend at home and abroad.The second part is the main. The first chapter introduces Semionov’s life and a brief introduction to the background of Semionov’s concert’Frescoes’.The second chapter is the analyzes musical structure of the ’Frescoes’. The third chapter gives a brief analysis of conventional playing conception like interpretive techniques of concerto ’Frescoes’.The fourth chapter introduces the technical process of Bayan and mixed chamber orchestra in ’Fresqoes’ concerto.The third part is the conclusion.The ’Frescoes’ is the only contemporary concert created by Semenov. Through my analysis of interpretive techniques and music structure I hope to provide reference and help to accordion players perform it perfectly.
