In August1918,Li Shutong,the New Culture Movementpioneer,determinedly became a monk and stayed at the Hupao, DingHuiTemple in Hangzhou.Since then,literature and art circle lost anextraordinary versatility man called Li Shutong, Buddhism got a rigorouscommandment guardian, a purity and transcendency man with Hongyi ashis buddhist name.His legendary lifetime full of grief and joy,world ofsecular and Buddhism aparted.Spring of1921,with the invitation ofWenzhou celebrities Wu Bihua and Zhou Mengyou,Master Hongyi cameto Qingfu Temple holed up to marked Dharmagupta-vinaya. Thisexperience given him a deep expression and indissoluble bond toWenzhou,made Wenzhou been seen as Hongyi’s second hometown forcontinue years. From March1921to Wenzhou untill November1932sfrom Wenzhou to Minnan.Wenzhou is the longest stayed place in MasterHongyi’s24buddhist life,that’s about12years.In this12years,he closedstudy to finish a famous buddhism work Buddhist monk’s discipline inDharmagupta-vinaya. also accomplished the breakthrough of turnpointfrom literature to Buddhism thought.And this transition is inner-related to Hongyi’s social intercourse in Wenzhou.According to the existingdocument analysis, Master hong-yi, have more than40people involvesmany levels of different cultural backgrounds in Wenzhou.There into acertain influence people more than half on the cultural history in lateQing dynasty in China.To do the literature historial research of thesocial relations between Master Hongyi and Wenzhou people, not onlycould complete further research, also can start a paticular way of "peopleassociation in same region", and find universality factors behind thistradition,and deepen our understanding from the angle of significance andvalue.This thesis consists of six parts, in the introductory section, it mainlydescribes the significance of passage, as well as the related textual styleof arrangement.
