Research On The "Art Beijing Fair" Signage System Design

This paper is a research analysis on the "Art Beijing Fair" signage system design. With the acceleration in the development and prosperity of the contemporary art market, there is an increasing variety of trade fair that focus on art form. The "Art Beijing Fair" as a representative art institution, shows Chinese contemporary art to the whole world in the exhibition form. Meanwhile, the signage system is the most direct and public communication channel in the public area.This data is based on two Beijing art institutions (GIGE and Art Beijing). By comparing and analyzing the signage system design from the previous two annual Art Fairs, issues like similarity, signage malfunction and improper design have resulted. First, the author evaluates the2012Beijing Art Fair signage system design via its functional and aesthetic value.Second, through the analysis of influencing factors such as cultural background, geographical environment, economic background and exhibition features regarding the Art Fair.Finally, with an analysis of successful overseas cases, and with the help of spatial planning, visual culture, design, color theory, from the constituted elements of the signage system (material, color, graphics and text), the author puts forward a signage system design scheme of rationalization, making better efficiency and quality for the"Art Beijing Fair"...
