This paper is a translation practice report, a review article on the translation of the five essays chosen from Travel Around Taiwan. The five chosen essays are A Leisure Travel in Hualien, In Memory of Fu Qian Road in Tainan, The Sparrow Flies to the Southeast, Wandering for Each Five Steps, NO.11Highway and Ershui. By analyzing the text features of the chosen essays, discussing the translation difficulties and then putting forward the consequent translation methods to solve these difficulties encountered in the translating, this translation report could provide some feasible reference and guidance for the future translation of similar works.This report is divided into four parts. Part one introduces the translation practice background and translation practice significance. Part two describes the original text, including the content of the excerpt and text features of travel essays. Part three is about some difficulties and solutions. The difficulties include how to deal with culture-loaded words, running-on sentences and reproduction of the aesthetic evaluation. And the solutions adopted include transliteration, literal translation, literal translation with annotation, segmenting and reverse translation. Part four summarizes some experience gained from the translation practice and problems encountered during the process.
