In the history of Western painting, impressionism has become an important school ofart history with its unique style. In the nineteenth Century of France,gathering talents andculture, a large number of impressionist painting masters appearing, such as Mo Nai,Renoir, Pissarro, Cezanne, Van Gogh, Seurat, Gauguin,they jointly started the painting formwhich focuses on light and color and created those unique painting languages respectively.The classical works which are very native,fresh and livid have been charming till now.This thesis uses the painters’ works of the impressionist period as a clue,discussingthe othernesses and similarities of the painting languages of impressionist painters. Thisthesis does research on the aspect of respecting nature and impersonality, and the aspect ofcontinued exploring the changes of light and color, at the same time,it also focuses on theresearch and analysis of the works of the impressionist painters.Through analyzingworks,it shows subjective factors including the painter’s emotion and both the commonand unique features of their painting language.Impressionist paintings of bright colors, unique style, bold composition and uniquepainting languages, all express the innermost feelings of the impressionist painter, andmake the painting more meaningful.
