In the process of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, ChineseCharacter Teaching plays an essential role, and penetrates the whole ofit. Currently, there is no consensus about how to deal with the relationbetween Chinese characters’ recognizing and writing. This thesisconsiders that at the very beginning of Chinese learning, one should learnChinese speaking and writing separately: Starting with recognizing,character writing follows. The author tries to describe and designeducational game software by analyzing the current situation of teachingChinese characters, strategies for learning Chinese characters, and theacquisition sequences in leaning Chinese characters. The author’s purposeis to help the Chinese-learners to recognize and read out Chinesecharacters quickly after input a certain amount of characters to them. Thiseducational game can help learners to grasp a certain number of characterswhile playing the game. It can also strengthen learners’ orthographicawareness of Chinese as a second language, which can help learners todevelop a sense to judge a character right or wrong and help them to keeppassionate about Chinese learning. |
