In this paper, we take the Philology as a guide and pick TheTang Dynasty’s Epitaph Compilation(the abbreviation is “Tang Hui”) and The Tang Dynasty’sEpitaph Compilation Sequel(the abbreviation is“Tang Hui Xu”)(Shunzong to Muzong period)as original,chose those hing quality rubbings and at the same time reference othermaterials,release a comprehensive school complement the text. There are two questions in thisperiod annotations:not be interpreted and explained wrong.Based on accurately recorded text,investigated and revealed the allusions in this period.The achievement of this paper can help to sort and research the Tang dynasty epitaph.It can also provide abundant graphemic material for the study of the the Tang dynastyepitaph. In addition, it can contribute to research and analyze the evolution of Chinesecharacters. At the same time, it also reflects more content including history, politics, economy,culture, thought, folklore and so on, thus the Tang dynasty epitaph has important significancefor the reasearth of modern Chinese characters and related fields.
