Tang dynasty epitaph belonging to simultaneous literature.It can objectivelyreflect the history, geography, marriage, funeral, son of a system, such as the history,classical literature, classical text, philology and archaeology research disciplines areindispensable precious data. Epitaph words in the tang dynasty is rich.It canobjectively reflect the words and the appearance of medieval words. Chapter One isintroduction,which intrced reseach situation, reseach spach, reseach methods, reseachidea. Chapter Two is reading note on annotation of newly. Correction and supplementhe previous record of the interetation of the error and missing. Chapter Three is TangDazhong epitaph words study according to “Grand Chinese Dictionary”, using theepitaph to make up the words that “Grand Chinese Dictionary” not include, examplelater. Chapter Four is “the meaning of the collating and paraphrasing the Tang Da Zhong epitaph words”.From the study of modern Chinese character, dictonarycompilation and the epitaph collection of three aspects to illustrate the meaning of thistopic selection.The last is appendix “Tang Dynasty Da Zhong Epitaph VariantCharacters Table.”The study of this paper will be contribute to collection of the Tang dynasty epitaph,dictonary compilation and the study of modern Chinese character.
