The people centered design concept of modern emotional design comes from Chinatraditional philosophy ideology, modern design is developing under the influence oftraditional culture. The overrall concept of traditional plastic arts, natural environmental viewof material using, harmony concept of structural planning give modern home textile designmore inspiration and vitality, and enrich its cultural connotation. But with the coming ofinternet age, people’s demond for temperation, individuation and interaction of product isbecome higher, emotional design theory has become the key point in design. Weddingbedding as the most characteristic and consumption potential part of home textile field, keepsthe most closely contact with the traditional culture, so, how to design the wedding beddingfrom the perspective of China traditional emotion, at the same time in combination withmodern emotional atmosphere is the key point in this article.The first chapter is introduction, analyzes the background and current situation of hometextile and wedding bedding, and emotional design’s dynamic and development trend inforeign and domestic research, points out it’s very needed and meaningful puts emotionaldesign based on the China traditional culture apply in the design of home textile and weddingbedding. The second chapter analyzes the traditional emotion model from traditional cultureand three levels of modern emotional design, finds out the commonality to guide modernemotional design. The third chapter analyzes the content and meaning of China traditionalmarriage custums culture and how to design the modern product on basis of respection forculture connotation. The fourth and fifth chapter is the core part of this artical, by analyzingmy own investigation and case study, concluded that how to design the wedding bedding inline with the modern young consumers emotional appeal on basis of traditional culture, andputs forward problems needed attention. The sixth chapter summarized the direction of theemotional design from two aspects of product design and enterprise,puts forward somesuggestions.
