Since the crisis of modernity commenced, human degenerated to asituation of the grounds division of moral action and the lack of moralresponsibility, which makes people eager to discuss and seek solutions. Amongthem some insist the view that one of the primary tasks in the modern era is toreturn to the classic and to reconstruct the practical wisdom. In response to thisphenomenon, the article is based on Aristotle’s “Practical Wisdom” as mainresearch content. Aristotle advocated peoples behavior should persue good in theguidance of practical wisdom to live a “good life”, to be a “good man”. After hissublation of other ancient Greek philosophers’ thought, Aristotle first clearlyproposed to study human behavior from the practice and raised the status ofpractice to specifically refers to human activities. He also pointed out that thereason why human differ from other animals is that human have a uniquedistinguished capacity for reason, which makes human develop their own free willto think, make choice and then put it into practice under the guidance of the logos. He stressed that people live in the city-state, enjoy freedom powers given bycity-state and achieve a happy life under the guidance of morality. Practicalwisdom plays a role in conducting judgment and selection before behavior andplanning selected behavior. On the issue of option voluntary, Aristotle’s viewfocus on the relationship between knowledge and action. Knowledge and actionshould go hand in hand. In his view, people must have moral responsibility fortheir actions, because human behavior is selected out the wishes and people thinkcarefully before making behavioral choices, which means the wishes decide thechoices and makes people bear the moral responsibility for their own behavior.Togive up the responsibility for their own behavior means to give up their ownhuman rights, which makes a man not be different from animal anymore. This thesis aims to illustrate the role of the “practical wisdom” in theentire philosophical system of Aristotle, as well as its influence on contemporary practical reason. This dissertation also tries to provide possible solutions to facethe situation in which emotion and reason severely conflict in the case of moralaction and moral responsibility perish during the modern age.
