Analysis Of Zhu Xi’s Viewpoints Of Literature And Tao

The article concept of Zhu Xi is the combination of article and objective lawswhich is different with the concept of "article throw objective laws into light" or "thetool of realizing the objective laws is article "advocated by classic article experts inTan dynasty. Zhu Xi deemed that the concept of ’article throws objective laws intolight’ or ’the tool of realizing the objective laws is the article’ confuses the cause aswell as result and isolates the article and objective laws. At present, points of scholarsabout Zhu Xi’s article concept incline to emphasize the objective laws and neglect thearticle. This thesis considers that it is unnecessary to figure out the importance ofthe article as well as objective laws but is necessary to distinguish its cause and result.This thesis consists of three parts. Part one mainly analyzes the Zhu Xi’s articleconcept from the perspective of the relationship between article and objective laws.Part two explains the Zhu Xi’s article concept on the basis of literature. Part threeanalyzes the theoretical structure of the combination of article and reason based on theBook of Poetry. The beginning of this article explains the identification of the articlethat the article used by our ancients could not be simply explained as literature orpoetry and it should have a wider coverage of identification. The ancients explainedthe article as rhetoric. Moreover, three relations exist in the article and reason. Firstly,the reason overwhelms the article. The proportion of the article is less than reason.Secondly, the article overwhelms the reason. Namely, article relates the position ofreason. Thirdly, coexistent of article and reason. Both articles and reason have aperfect situation. This thesis employs the graphic to clarify the relationship of articleand reason. Furthermore, this article explains the meaning of ’mean’ as well as’honesty’ etc. and discusses the question of ’simple’ as well as ’rhetoric’ from theperspective of the above-mentioned relationship. Zhu Xi criticizes that the articlewrote by Han and Su was characterized by the overwhelming of the article. Zhu Xi’sRhetoric Poetry represents his article concept. The essence of Rhetoric Poetry isemotion which was utilized by Zhu Xi to recover the emotion of the Book of Poetry.More importantly, the emotion is the key to analyzing his article concept. Therefore,the combination of article and reason advocated by Zhu Xi emphasizes the importanceof emotion. Eventually, emotion is explained by analyzing the Zhu Xi’s PoetryCollection and verifies its position in Confucian theory.
