Satār, a bowstring musical instrument.It is widespread distributed over the south、northand also the east of Xinjiang,where are the Uyghur live in a compact community.Andit is close together with the history、culture、custom and so on of this area,and if is alsopresent a different region feature.This musical instrument has a great and importantstatus in Uyghurs’ traditional musical instrument because of its wide sound range andspecial timbre.In the main body of the article,based on the research achievements ofpredecessors and sincere investigation and recording,the writer made a comprehensiveresearch and analysis for the Satār on the theory of acoustics system of musicalinstruments and put forward some points of view.Theory and research methods of thisarticle is the integrated use of the Instrumental-Course、Musical Acoustics、MusicalTemperament and other subject’s theory and researching method.The thesis is divided in to five parts:In1,the introduction.The author propose a research perspective and researchmethods,based on the research achievements of predecessors and sincere investigationand recording.In2,by induction and classification in the literature of China,the author prepared toconduct a comprehensive analysis of Satār in origins,shapes,music,developmentstatus.In3,this section describes the shape and the acoustic principles of Satār.In4,this section describes the Satār is how to pronounce,and which factors can affectthe pronunciation of this instrument.In5,use the acoustic measurement software to test Satār in pitch,timbre and soundintensity.In6,to sum up the whole article.
