The essence of the instrument acoustic measurement is to use the measurement system to give the quantitative data of the acoustic characteristics of the instrument. While the measurement system is to obtain the measurement result of process, this process can be attributed to four aspects:external conditions (software and hardware equipment, performers, musical instruments and necessary measurement environment), the operator (the surveyor), measuring object (sound, generated by the interaction of performers and instruments), operation process. They are combined to achieve the purpose of output measurement data.Chapter one, the collection of measurement equipment, performers, measurement environment and instruments, which involved in the instrument acoustic measurement was analyzed and be given the reference standard. Chapter two, the content of the measurement are summarized. The concept explanation and definition about the Pitch, Sound Pressure Level, Dynamic Range, Frequency Response Curve, Acoustic Radiation Characteristics, Sound of the Basic Performance Skills, Famous music, Spectrum and Spectrogram were given. Chapter three, by using experimental method, measurement tools, measurement error and the measurement process were analyzed and studied, that in the current measurement, surveyors’understanding of the error may is insufficient, in-depth study of measurement tools as well as necessary; steady pitch measurement using FFT, sampling length and measurement data reproducibility related, but the sampling length and error remains to be further research; In this paper, the pitch and spectrum measurement, for example, " Sonic Visualiser "and "GMAS" two software function comparison, that from the measurement process to error control, the former has the advantage. Chapter four, to play audio variable in the behavior means of control, bowstring machine playing device and music playing robot as an example to discuss that through this kind of means to complete measurement of music collection is not mature enough, but through the device of tone were played, can well control falling arch position, velocity of bow and bow pressure variable, for the measurement of the basic musical instruments sound more objective advantages.
