Social responsibility is solitude and duty towards others in psychology and perception ina certain society. What’s the highest state is the responsibility and consciousness on the wholesociety, nationality, country and the human. College students’ historical missions are to builda harmonious socialist society and realize our national rejuvenation. The extent of strength oncollege students’ social responsibility will directly affect whether they can really shoulder thehistoric missions or not. This research aims to investigate the present situation of collegestudents’ social responsibility in music field in Wuhan, analyze the problems and causes thatexist in the area and explore countermeasures in strengthening college students’ socialresponsibility in music field.Wuhan locates in middle of China. The level of economy and society development ofWuhan rank in intermediate in China. The inclusive culture is typical and specific in China.The college students in music field not only possess common characteristics of contemporarycollege students but also present their unique characteristics on account of distinctiveness ofprofession. Their personal characteristics, behavioral style and thought habit are often specific.What’s more, talent in music field will play a direct influence on the public. Through theinvestigation, we find that their understanding towards social responsibility has progressed,but the level of understanding is still low. Their personal view of values has improved, buttheir consciousness towards collective and social value is relative weak. Their sense ofresponsibility on professional study has enhanced, but their sense of responsibility on thenation is not strong. Their attention to social consciousness has increased, but their action islacking. The causes of these problems are as following: personal factors of college students’ inmusic field, family environment factors of one-child or single-parent family, factors ofexam-oriented education that are criticized for a long time and the negative factors that existon the construction of market economy and the development of network, etc.To solve these problems, the author thinks that college students’ social responsibility inmusic field in Wuhan will be improved when insisting on gradual principle of content andgoal orientation, principle of moderate infusion and positive guidance, actively participatingin social practice and principle of integration of society, family and school, etc. First, thefundamental prerequisite is that we should exploit the advantages of college students in musicfield, which is to guide the student to correctly recognize themselves, comprehensivelyevaluate themselves and effectively control themselves. Second, it is the important basis thatinsist on playing a role of family education, in which parents should improve themselves toset an example for college students and provide environment that is beneficial to thecultivation of sense of responsibility. Third, it is the orientation that insisting on playing therole of education of universities, which is to strengthen the education on new students inmusic field to enhance their sense of social responsibilities, heighten the effectiveness of twocourses, construct a team of highly qualified teachers and intensify their sense ofresponsibility of society in practice. At last, it is an important term that insisting on playing arole of edification in the environment of society, which is to create a good social publicconsensus and provide a healthy internet environment for college students in music field.
