Objective: This study was designed to solve two problems: Two kinds of priming weredifferences when presenting the priming stimuli on the supraliminal and subliminal ways;Whether the two effects on the bias of cognitive processing were different. Methods: Used normal facial photos as prime stimulation and blurred photos as targetstimulation on priming paradigm, participants judged the expression of blurred face photosafter stimulus’ different consciousness levels of priming, to compare Two kinds of primingeffects on the bias of cognitive processing of targets.Results:(1)In the supraliminal experiment, significant interaction was found betweenvalence of prime and experimental task, F(1,39)=6.301,P<0.05; significant interaction wasfound between gender of prime and experimental task, F(1,39)=5.373,P <0.05; a furthersingle sample t-test showed that there was a significant main effect of affectivepriming(p<0.001) and semantic priming(p<0.001) under the valence of cry; under the valenceof smile, there was a significant congruent priming effect of two kinds ofprimings(p<0.001);under the gender of male, there was a significant congruent priming effectof two kinds of primings;under the gender of female, there was a significant congruentpriming effect of two kinds of primings(p<0.001).Then a further paired-samples t testshowed that affective priming was stronger than semantic priming under the valence of cry(t=-2.381,p<0.05); affective priming was weaker than semantic priming under the valence ofsmile(t=-2.495,p<0.05); affective priming was weaker than semantic priming effect under thegender of male(t=-2.303,p<0.05); semantic priming effect was stronger than affectivepriming effect under the valence of female(t=2.212,p<0.033).(2)In the subliminal primingexperiment, significant interaction was found between valence of prime and gender of prime,F=(1,39),p<0.001.Interaction was not found between valence of prime, gender of prime andtype of task.Conclusion:(1)Valence of prime and gender of prime affected affective priming andsemantic priming.(2) In the supraliminal experiment, it confirmed that affective priming andsemantic priming were exist.(3) There was no affective and semantic effect in the subliminalexperiment, which was illustrated that subliminal priming was a weak phenomenon.
