Folk Culture—a Study Of CaiBaoShen In Yongjing County

CaiBaoShen is a set of songs, dance as one of the folk performing arts in Yongjing, It is one of the most important activities of the local people’s beliefs and folk culture, also has a strong local flavor. It is closely related to people’s daily life, until now has a strong vitality. Because of its generation and development in the transition zone of the Loess Plateau and Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, The Central Plains culture, Islamic culture and Tibetan Buddhism culture digesting each other, long rooted in multi-cultural symbiosis environment such as the multi-ethnic and multi-religious, so its features are more distinctive.This article attempts to use the perspective of folklore and fieldwork methods, with the aid of performance theory and the knowledge of folklore, first of all, it carries on the detailed description which relies on the environment, the belief, the artistic features of object and legends, especially for the reason of the existence, the social function of the characteristics of faith and beliefs. This article thinks CaiBaoShen faith is compatible with belief in spirits, reflecting the characteristics of the three religions. At the same time, CaiBaoShen faith is a kind of positive spirit culture, entrusted with the wishes of a better life and good fortune. It makes people better inheriting the traditional culture, having a strong enlightenment. Finally, through the analysis of the heritage and the status, CaiBaoShen faith as a provincial intangible cultural heritage, has a strong vitality, but survival is not optimistic. Therefore, the author proposes some feasible protection measures and suggestions according to the actual situation.
