The idea of "A world without us" is originated from Alan Weisman’s book with the same name. By studying and analyzing a large number of well-known photographic works from home and abroad, the theme has got well based. Meanwhile, some traditional crafts like silver halide, platinum, wet version and so on are also discussed in order to explore their combination and usage in the process of creation."Landscape photography" is not a simple "landscape" record. It has a nature of social survey and the integrity, authenticity and persistence of the record are its characteristic."Landscape photography" is characterized with recording truth, and it also has a breakthrough in concept. Although its social value can hardly be noticed in a short period of time, as time goes on, this value will be more and more prominent, and its unique implication will glow.As the idea gradually getting clear, basing on the common understanding of "landscape photography" and its rules, and referring to some other photographic works, a more specific recognition for landscape photography creation was formed. its theme is to explore the relationship between the human and the environment. In a hypothesis of human’s disappearance, a complicated relationship between animals, plants and environment would be formed. This relationship is exhibited in photos as animals and plants in different background (shown different buildings in pictures). In the creating process, for combining animals and plants and backgrounds, especially for choosing the representative buildings, many methods and possibilities have been tried. the printing process used the traditional platinum technology in order to get a perfect combination between modern digital technology and traditional images.Through the creative practice, it is confirmed that an important task for photographic creation is to find out a way to combine photographic themes and expressive methods. The expansion of the image printing process can enhance the performance of works.
