Research On Taoists Individual Religious Development Characteritics And Influence Factors

In recent years, research on psychology of religion in China has made significant progress, but in-depth and systematic study of individual religious psychological development is still a blank. Taoism as a native religion of China has produced extensive and far-reaching influence to people in the history of China. From the psychology Angle to discuss Taoists psychological development characteristics and the influencing factors help us to understand the nature of religion and the function more deeply, and then grasp the psychological characteristics and psychological law of development of Taoists more clearly. Thereby fill in the related field blank in our country, more important is to promote social develop harmony and steady, and formulate relevant religious policies in order to provide the beneficial reference.This study using the research methods of psychology, sociology and other disciplines and experience, first of all, using qualitative research method collect large empirical data, and to explore the manifestation of Chinese Taoists religious psychology and characteristic, construct and understand the individual religious concepts. Secondly, using the method of quantitative research, develop Chinese Taoists religious scale. Finally, in accordance with the method of convenient sampling, went to Guangzhou, Dongguan, Beijing, Jinhua, Shijiazhuang, Handan and other places investigated of136Taoists of different ages. Then uses the method of cross sectional study and combining qualitative research method to form the case study, analyze Chinese Taoists psychological development characteristics and influencing factors. The main results were as follows:Taoists individual religious scale has30projects, including four dimensions, respectively is immortal, Taoism beliefs (8items), transcendental experience (8items), value pursuit (7items), and participation (7items), including the eight reverse problem of lie. Taoists individual religious scale for three weeks after the total table of the weight coefficient of measurement was0.885; Internal consistency coefficient is0.872, weight table of internal consistency coefficient is0.606to0.812. Formal structure validity, idea validity of the scale are up to standard, dimensional analysis showed that the fairy, Taoism beliefs, transcendental experience, value pursuit and temples has participated in the four subscales related between0.369to0.571, each dimension is associated with total tables and reach significant level between0.722-0.814, belong to the strong positive correlation. It showed that overall concept of dimension and volume table is uniform, the scale is valid.On Taoists religious scale, there is no significant difference in gender, household registration, mother’s education level, political landscape. There is significant difference in age, education level, status, and convert to fixed number of year, mother’s religion, father’s education level, marital status. Multiple regression analysis results show that the conversion in demography variables age and father’s education level these two factors on the Taoists individual religious has obvious predictability. Cross sectional study show that Taoists individual religious rising trend along with the age growth, peaked after70years old. Qualitative research to further explain and verify the results of empirical study, and carries on empirical research on the perfection and supplement.The results show that the religious environment where was individual born, individual life experiences and faith life plays an important role in the formation and development of individual religious.
