The study of Shi Xing is the theme of this article. In the reference of the latest research results and the analysis of the historical resources in China and Korea Shi Xing will be revalued in the historical circumstance, not only his life, but also his position in the history of modern Korea.The basic materials of this article included:The Annals of the Joseon Dynasty, Korean documents and the poems and texts written by Shi Xing(collected in《曹州书画家集传》Chao Zou Shu Hua Jia Ji Zhuan). Through the detailed analysis of the materials the Chinese military aids in the Imjin War and the gratitude to Shi Xing from Korean society will be explained.The first half period of Korean Dynasty (1392-1910) and Chinese Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) resisted in the similar period. The relationship between the two nations was intimate and friendly. Ming Dynasty afforded even troops to help Korea to defense Japanese.Shi Xing was an important minister in the Jia Jing, Long Qing, Wan Li Time. We can find the principles of fine officials in the thoughts of Shi Xing, just like another scholar officials in ofthe middle and late Ming Dynasty. Shi Xing joined the political affairs through the national examination in Jia Jing Time. Because of his honest and blondness advises awarded he reputation in the Long Qing Time. In the period of Wan Li his contribute was eminent. He served successively as Construction, Financial and Defense Minister and took part in the decision of important political cases, especially The Wanli Korean Campaign(The Imjin War referred by the Korea) in1592.If we combined the remarks about Shi Xing at that time in Korea and China and analyzed Shi Xing’s Confucians thoughts and his principles of fine officials, which carried sympathetic response in the momentary Korea, we could find this historical Figure will be more complete and vivid. Shi Xing hade sent soldiers to aid Korea; he deserved the title "Benefactor of Nation" in the Korean history.
