From the practice of leisure, Thoreau achieves the mental state of abundance through weakening of materialism and Closing to nature. Finally, he realizes that the existence of him reaches a higher level. In general, Thoreau values the spirit and despises the material in both his concept of leisure and his practice in leisure.
