The Application Of New Media To The Study On Subway Public Art

As one of the modern civilization achievement of the development of the city，subwaybecome an important part of urban infrastructure. The settings of public art in the subwayspace, play an important role on tending to improve the quality of space, alleviating thepressure of the passengers’ anxious in underground space, showing the image of the city.At present, the creation of the subway public art are commonly using traditional formsand techniques of creative expression. By contrast, with its forms of expression havingdistinct advantage in public, immersive and interactive, the new media arts is promising inmanifesting the city image, highlighting the cultural characteristics of the city and carryingthe public aesthetic. This article focus on the researching and studying in the application ofthe techniques of expression of the new media arts in the creation of subway public art,expecting to provide a reference for the creation and design of the domestic subway publicart which is under construction currently.
