Tactility is an physiological and psychological experience which is essential inour life. It makes our life true, beautiful and interesting. However, such kind of feelingbecomes unnoticed and been indifferent gradually in the developing and prosperousnowadays. So design is necessary to wake our sleeping experience of tactility up andmake our life true and rich. Ceramic products are necessities in our normal life. Whenyou use them, you must touch them and feel all of them like their character, volume,weight, temperatuer,form and angle. Then special physiological and psychologicalexperience will come from them. Therefore, the research on the appication of tactilityin the design of ceramic products will help to design some ceramic products which isusful, comfortable and satisfied. You can also enjoy and experience the use ofthem.This thesis will put out the factors influencing the tactility in ceramic productsand further direction for concrete research through analysing the relation ship betweenceramic products and tactility.After making the factors clear,from the aspects offunction and form,examples.antitheses and induction will be used to discuss thespecific use of tactility in the design of ceramic products.Physiological and mentalfeeling form model,material,character,decoration and so on of ceramic products will beanalysed to be the reference for design.What’s more,some design with problem andthe suggestion on them will be found during the data collection and marketresearch.Provide a reference for ceramic design, has a certain significance.
