The Study On Familial Talented Female Group Of The Transitional Period Of Ming And Qing Dynasties

Ming and Qing dynasty had a large number of talented ladies, breaked theprevious situation that talented ladies were few and single. Late Ming and early Qingdynasty as a transitional period is the turning stage from rise to prosperous of thetalented female culture in Ming and Qing dynasty. In this period, the society praisedand supported these talented ladies and this promoted a large group of talented ladiesemerge. The talented female group has many characteristics and one of the mostobvious feature is the familial traits. Namely, these talented female group based onblood lineage and as familial unit appeared. In the transitional period of Ming andQing dynasty, the familial traits of talented female group had become a commonphenomenon. Most of the families which emerged many talents were literary families,notable families or aristocratic families. Sometimes, there were dozens of talentedladies in one family. Due to the reason of blood and relationship, these ladies whowithin the families were more easily together. They wrote poems for each other andshared their insights, went out to travel together or formed a community to writepoem. All these reasons has had a huge impact in their literary creation, not onlywidened the vision and express range, but also promoted the culture of talentedfemale to prosperous in Qing dynasty.This study from the form of talented female group in late Ming and early Qingdynasty, analyzed the familial traits of the group.Based on the special socio--culturalcontext and women living environment in the transitional period of Ming and Qingdynasty, the talented female group appeared as family. The familial traits includedthree aspects, the appearance of these characteristics had two reasons—family andpersonal reason. Finally, this paper summarizes the accomplishment which achievedby the talented female group and analyzes the influence of familial traits to latergenerations. These familial talented female affected the environment of culture in thisperiod, not only their cultural exchange and literatural growth pushed the culture oftalented female to flourish in Qing dynasty, but also produced far-reaching influenceto later ages.
