As a poetess that inspires legends, Huiyin Lin is definitely a unique existence inthe history of Chinese modern poetry. She is unique not because of her multipleidentities as an architect and so on, but because of her eternal aesthetic pursuit andartistic characteristics of the Embodied Etherealization in her poetry. This paperattempts to discuss the artistic characteristic of the Embodied Etherealization inHuiyin Lin’s poetry by interpretation of poetries through three aspects: the poeticthought, the poetic structure and the language expression. However, they are notindependent but interrelated. The fluent poetic thought is the main content that thepoetic structure and the language expression want to express. On the other hand, the last two aspects are the carrier and medium of the first one. The last twoaspects effect together on the first one in order to perfect it gradually. And they areinteractive and inseparable in specific poetries. The whole thesis consists of three parts: I. The ethereal fluent poetic thoughtderives from the optimistic wise view of life and death, also from the aesthetic poeticheart, while with the ethereal images and elegant landscape paintings. The poeticthought is not only the conception of the other two but also a form of Etherealizationitself. II.The ethereal flowing poetic structure represents as: the coordinationbetween stanzas and verses, also the changing lines-structure from the sense oflooking; the display of diversified rhythmic patterns from the sense of hearing. Thesense of looking and the sense of hearing are coordinate and intermixable at thesame time. III.The ethereal fresh language expression reflects as not only theflexibility in the use of words and word-activity, but also the poetic logic of wordsand expressions and the authority feeling with the “forever changing” words andexpressions.
