Performance art is a kind of comprehensive art which is to show the people’s life and reflect the life. It employs persons (actors) to play roles (characters) to express the universal social problems. In the drama creation, the actor’s performance is the core of the theater. Stanislavskiy summed up the basic laws of performing arts that "all the actors, the creator of the image, without exception, should embody and characterized the character again". He mentioned that the actor should have clearly characterized skills of performance.Characterization creation is a method of performing arts, which has been referred to in every drama genre theory. If there is no characterized creation, actors will be no personality, but are emotional bodies. Therefore, the drama performance demands an actor should master the character’s multidimensional personality and carry on the characterized creation.This paper uses the method of characterized creation to analyze "Mark", a character of the French comedy "Art" and make a general outline to the theory of how to create a character image, then sums up the method of actors how to create a distinct characters in the creation practice. It has important guiding significance and theoretical value for today’s performance practice.
