A Stody Of The North Shanxi Local Opera Creation Research In New Period

The North Shanxi Local Opera is one of the oldest operas, whichhas handed down hundreds of traditional dramas since its existence.It is the traditional cultural heritage and the non-renewable resource.The North Shanxi Local Opera has developed as history and comedown up to now because of people’s love and support. Since the newperiod, the North Shanxi Local Opera has implemented the policy of"Letting a hundred flowers bloom and a hundred schools of thoughtcontend.", giving efforts to innovation to create their own high-qualityculture. It spares no effort to adapt traditional drama, newly organizehistorical stories and create modern dramas to push the North ShanxiLocal Opera creation to a new level.Since the reform and opening up to now, the Nort Shanxi LocalOpera itself has started a new period of development. It achievedgood results in the performance of adapted traditional dramas, newlyorganized Chinese historical stories as well as modern dramas. It hasproduced many dramas, which has high quality and basically meet theaesthetic needs of the popular audience for it. In terms of its research,however, no book has studied the North Shanxi Local Opera since thenew period. Therefore, this thesis is intended to choose it as theobject of the study to make up the defect. This thesis has totally three parts, namlely, introduction, mainpart and conclusion. Detailed information will be introduced in eachpart.The introduction part expounds first the North Shanxi LocalOpera’s situation and points out difficulties and challenges it faceswith the development of the new period. But, by observing researchcontents of the North Shanxi Local Opera, no book has studied it sincethe new period. Therefore, it rightly points out the core value of thisthesis.The main part first systematically introduces the evolution of theNorth Shanxi Local Opera and its history. Then, there are threechapters to generally explore adapted traditional dramas, newlyorganized Chinese historical stories as well as modern dramas andmake in-depth analysis and comments for some major dramas and itsperformance.In the conclusion, the thesis finds out the problems existing in thedevelopment of the North Shanxi Local Opera and givescorrespondent countermeasures for the purpose to provideassistance for the development of the North Shanxi Local Opera.
