About Construction Analysis Of"hen+V+le+Number-measure"Pattern

"hen+V+le+Number-measure"is not only a common expression in modern Chinese but also a typical Construction. It appears frequently in modern spoken and written Chinese,and express distinctive meanings in some corpus, such as newspapers, magazines and novels. According to the Construction Grammar Theory, the paper attempted to study the characteristics of the Constructional elements, the Constructional meanings, the Construction Coercion and the Constructional pragmatic functions by using Constructionist Approach. In addition,this paper also investigated why this Construction can express the meaning of subjective quantity and how to produce the meaning. In short, this paper attempted to analyze this Construction more meticulous.The Introduction mainly introduce the domestic research status of the Construction. Then the paper pointed out the object was "hen+V+le+Number-measure", and at last we described the research contents, methods,and corpus sources.Chapter one mainly study the constructional elements,such as"hen","the verbs" and "the number measure". We analyzed the elements’characteristics from three aspects of semantics, phonology and pragmatics. Based on the collected corpus, we also investigated the relationship between the verbs and the numbers.Chapter two is the investigation between the construction coercion and the semantic feature of the construction. There is vocabulary coercion and construction coercion in "hen+V+le+Number-measure". Then we explored the meanings,the different expressions and the semantic restrictions of the construction.Chapter three is investigated in the background of Functional Linguistics. We found that the construction contained two pragmatic value:to stress and to evaluate.Chapter four compared three similar constructions. We distinguished their forms and their meanings. At last, we submitted the three constructions had inheritable relationship.Chapter five focused on the subjectivity of language. We discussed the reasons why the construction can produce subjective quantity in Chinese. We founded the lexical means of expressing subjective quantity. We also founded that the speaker’s will and the need of expression were closely related to the production of subjective quantity in Chinese. Finally, we analyzed that some factors can influence the constructional meaning, such as the motivation, the subjectivization and the subjective perspective.Chapter six is the conclusion. We summed up all the important views, and made some suggestions for the future research on the topic. We restated the characteristic and innovation of the paper.
