This paper is based on ubiquitous learning and constructivism theory, through the investigation of podcasting system, listening comprehension and accessing, I selected24listening materials from podcasting system, designed a listening experiment, to explore the influence of podcasting on learners’listening comprehension.The research started with a full-fledged experimental design, which divided the experiment into three phases, each lasted20days, and then I discussed the dates and time for each listening experiment with the subject; the listening part of HSK level4was chosen to be the pre-experiment test material for the subject and other students in his class, in order to test his listening comprehension capacity before the experiment, and select two students as the control group of the experiment; podcast materials were selected and processed before the conducting of each phase, and were arranged from easiest to the most difficult, according to the amount of words that were above HSK level4, and detailed information of each podcast, such as speaker’s language features, organization and features of the content, were listed and discussed; language points and tasks were set, I selected the words which were essential to understanding the material and finishing the listening tasks, formed a list given to the subject before each experiment; and the three-phased experiment were conducted, each included three parts:warming-up, listening comprehension, and further discussion; finally, experiment results were analyzed, grades of pretest and posttest were compared. And the conclusion was that podcasting had a positive influence on learners’listening comprehension. In the process of the experiment, four interviews were implemented to the subject, in order to investigate the change of his listening anxiety, listening effect, and personal attitude towards podcasting listening.Based on the experiment and its result, as well as interviews of the subject, the paper brought forward an implementation model of applying podcasting to class teaching, from three aspects of resource, teacher, and student, in hope of providing reference for relative research and practice.
