American science fiction films just had a small production in its beginning but now it has earned both plaudits and market all over the Hollywood films. All of this is benefited from exquisite effects and cosmetic, especially the scientific and technological criticism ideology behind the films. However, even if having a strong literary color, sci-fi film is also a business entity with its successful model. This paper regards American sci-fi films during the10years from2004to2013as the research target and teased out its history. The study is based on the criticism ideology behind the sci-fi film. The introduction part mainly discusses the social background of the birth of science fiction films, namely, the inevitable outcome when scientific developed to a certain extent. There are so many results in ideology and literature on science rationality of science and technology. Sci-fi films also made a bold imagination about the probable pessimistic future which caused by the advance of science and technology. So, science fiction film itself has become the object of literary studies. American provides abundant research results on fiction film to the world. The results mainly displayed in the form of paper. Yet Chinese is the major country that imports American sci-fi films in large amount. American sci-fi films also have numerous followers in China:science fiction research discipline organizations have been established in many colleges and universities. There are also countless innovative science fiction theories among the wider public. In general, the amount of research result on science fictions is not less than that in American. But how to run through those theories and the science fiction industry to provide theoretical support for Chinese science fiction industry is still a bottleneck. Chapter1is the classification of the content and the theme during the10years. There are3main sci-fi film themes according to the method of this paper:Biochemical theme, Extraterrestrial life theme and Zombie theme which is popular in recent years. More and more medical accidents and difficult miscellaneous diseases caused doubts and fears to biomedical advances. Many of the biological and chemical research for the benefit of mankind caused irreparable loss or even disasters just because improper operation or being under control of the wicked persons. This is the science fiction movies favorite subject since the80’s of the20th century. The scientists curiosity about the world was on the detection of extraterrestrial life and inseparable. So alien life is a lasting theme of science fiction movie which can constantly bring forth the new through the old in different ages. From simply visiting earth and human in the beginning, to war, to protect the earth humans by give warning, extraterrestrial life in the science fiction world seems to have a relation ship with human increasingly inseparability."Zombie" is a subject which is very close to biochemical theme. What’s different in the key point of sci-fi movies is no longer focused on the discuss of the reason what caused the biochemical disaster, but on the show of society when humans exist with Zombies. Zombies are just simple attacker a threat to human life. What really can destroy the human is still selfishness, arrogant and any other the dark side of human nature. Chapter2reviews the common plot mode during the10years:Every story has many different roles. There are always some roles to death in the end because of its surreal nature quality. So the arrangement of the roles to be dead is in relation to the idea and values of the movie. In addition, the female roles are phenomenon of changes in the science fiction film’s status. It is not just the Hollywood blockbuster business model. There are also social and humanities reasons behind them. Chapter3discussed the external form and the inner projection in the view of aesthetics. The special efforts of sci-fi film made digital aesthetic a new aesthetic object. The appreciation of science fiction is not only the story of the watch, added a new feeling for technology of computer system. Scene selection in sci-fi film is a kind of symbolic behavior. It is not arbitrary. A symbolic place or scene can be more expressive than the language. In recent years, its using of abundant of China elements embodied the forward-looking market perspective. There are political, cultural and other reasons behind an important commercial behavior. For the inner projection, the reason why science fiction movies can cause people to worry or reflection is that sci-fi film aroused the fear which people born with. While thoughts caused by fear must be profound. Science fiction film is a mass culture. Although American sci-fi films have a lot of China audience in quantity. Its spread throughout China isn’t better than the popularity of Korean Drama in China. The reason is also extensive, such as culture tradition, system policy and many other aspects. Last part of this paper focused on the communication of sci-fi films in China and the reasons why China cannot produce excellent as good as American does.
