Homosexual subculture raise doubts and challenges to traditional thinking, which is controlled by hegemonic heterosexual, gay film resort these questions and challenges to screen to let more people understand the homosexual of the life and emotion. Zero Chou who is personality and out of the ordinary can be say a "heterogeneous" in the group of Taiwan young film director. In her creative ideas, artistic quality of the film is more important than its commercial value, her ultimate pursuit is not the box office. She care about life experience of homosexual people and expect the society can be kind to them. She use her own film to record their lives and livelihoods Truthfully and recount their love and sad. In many Chinese gay films, Zero Chou’s "comrades trilogy" has unique artistic characteristic and aesthetic value:around the theme of the homosexual and youth; the narrative style of harmony but not sameness; interpretation of the writing style and technique from the five dimensions about visual, auditory, image, space, gender. On the position of no criticism, no complaint, to tell and explain the Gay phenomenon with camera. In the three films, director investigate the philosophy theme of love, fate and death, desalinate the gays’heterogeneous identity, place the homosexual love on the same platform with heterosexual, eager to get the same respect and equality as heterosexual. At the same time, the director is also concerned with the gay partners equity and social security, appeal to the society give more consideration and care to the elder homosexuals. As a gay director, Those initiatives manifests her compassion and humanistic.
